TREATMENT FOR ANAL FISSURE

Anal fissures tend to heal within a few weeks and if you take steps to keep your stool soft by taking more fiber and fluids. By soaking in warm water for 20 to 30 minutes several times a day after bowel movements can also help to heal.

A highly experienced and knowledgeable surgeon like Dr. Ram Prasad makes sure the whole treatment is completed in quite a smooth manner.

Internal sphincterotomy is also a method where a small incision is made in the anal sphincter so that the pain and pressure are gotten rid of. There are a lot of advantages of laser treatment for fissure. Few of them include – No discomfort, same day surgery and the patient can go home the same day, zero to minimal blood loss, minimal downtime, and no discomfort.

Fissure Treatment without Surgery: The doctor will prescribe anaesthetic creams such as lidocaine hydrochloride that will be helpful for pain relief. Nitroglycerin will be prescribed to help increased blood flow to the fissure and promote healing and also help relax the anal sphincter. When other conservative measures fail the treatment, nitroglycerin is considered the medical treatment
